Dawit Woubishet Mulatu is a research fellow at Environment and Climate Research Center (ECRC), EfD-Ethiopia, Since September 2014. Currently, he is leading and coordinating a research in Ethiopia as a member of the international research project on Ecosystem Service Accounting for Development (ESAfD). He is also participating in the development of the ECRC-Policy Research and Impact Evaluation (PRIE) program to support the country Climate Resilient Green Economy (CRGE) initiative. Among the PRIE thematic areas, he is responsible to lead the research and strategic plan development of water theme. His PhD dissertation is titled ‘linking the economy to the ecosystems: Land use change and ecosystem services valuation at basin level’. He published his research findings in international scientific journals: Journal of Hydrology, Ecosystem services, International Journal of Water Resources Development, Water Resources Management, Water International and others. He presented his research findings in several national and international conferences. His areas of research interest are natural resources and environmental economics, ecosystem service valuation, development studies, payment for ecosystem service, and water resources management and development.
Responsibility in the Project
Mintwab has been responsible for leading and coordinating the different tasks of the project. Accordingly, she has been leading communication with different stakeholders, collection of information on indicators and indicator assessment. She has also been responsible for setting time plan for several activities, monitoring process, presenting results, and putting together the reports at different stages of the project.
